Must commit to 4 days Monday to Thursday 9am to 3pm -Lunch, Materials and Health and Safety materials will be provided.

Full breakdown of Training:

**Day 1 – Introduction & Dry lining**

- Health & safety on-site
- Types of plasterboard and their uses
- Tools and how to use them
- Measuring, cutting & fixing plasterboard
- Taping, beading, mixing skim coat & application
- Hands-on practice session

**Day 2 – Skimming & Finishing**

- Wall prep for skimming
- Mixing skim coat
- Skimming and finishing to a high standard
- Cleaning tools and work area

**Day 3 – Tiling Basics**

- Tile types, adhesives, and tools
- Measuring, marking & preparing the area
- Cutting tiles
- Practice session and start tiling

**Day 4 – Grouting & Painting Prep**

- Finishing tiling & cleaning tools

- Grouting: mixing, applying, and finishing

- Prep area for painting

- Overview of paint types and applications

- **Finishing & Repairs**

- Painting application & final finishes

- Tool cleaning

- Wall repairs & fixings

- Dismantle plasterboard walls, clean-up

Eligibility:

Anyone who is currently unemployed, CE/Tús or working part time, living in Co. Donegal (DLDC Catchment area), with permission to work in Ireland.

**You do not need to be on a payment to participate.**

Good level of oral and written English required. \
Applicants whose first language is not English, may need to sit an English assessment

I didn't receive it. When I arrived in Litterkenny (I had to take a taxi from Dunfanaghy to make it on time), it turned out that the courses were in English. My English is weak. I was told that a group of Ukrainians would be recruited and courses would be conducted in Ukrainian. They promised to let me know when the class would start. So no one told me.
